Avalon launches Golden Gate Jazz Guitar

Following in the successful tracks of the nylon string Avalon Jazz series models, a new model is being added to the line up this summer. The most unique aspect of the guitar is that it is made from storm fallen timber extracted from the Golden Gate Bridge Park in San Francisco.

Following in the successful tracks of the nylon string Avalon Jazz series models, a new model is being added to the line up this summer. The model features include:

  • Restyled Jazz body shape
  • Extended fingerboard
  • New Fishman Eclipse pick–up blender system
  • Solid wood flamed Irish sycamore bindings

Yet the most unique aspect of the guitar is that it is made from storm fallen timber extracted from the Golden Gate Bridge Park in San Francisco.

The completely new and original body shape features Monterey cypress wood back and sides from the Golden Gate Park with an Englemann spruce top and Spanish cedar neck with lush natural binding and purfling detail. As with all Avalon Legacy guitars, the GGJ model is skilfully handcrafted in our Irish workshop by expert Avalon luthiers. Production of this model will be limited to 100.
